n January of 2021, Sophia Fisher launched Stop the Demand Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness to stop the demand for human trafficking.
As technology continues to advance, human traffickers are finding new ways to exploit modern-day technology. At Stop the Demand Project, we see an opportunity to use technology for good.
With social media usage at an all-time high, we believe that we can reach Generation Z and others about the reality of human trafficking through modern-day technology. With over 90% of Generation Z on social media, we desire to meet this target audience in the digital space. To best reach this generation, we believe that our peers best listen to those close to them in age. Through our ambassadors and partnerships, we are able to share the necessary resources with our audience on our social media channels.
